Take a Kid Fishing at the Groynes

18 October // 9am-1pm // The Groynes

A great, free, fun morning for children up to 12 years old. The Isaac Conservation and Wildlife Trust has once more generously donated hundreds of young salmon which will be released into the lakes at the Groynes, along with a small number of very large trout. Bring your family and enjoy a fun kids’ fishing day. No registration or fishing licence necessary (Fish and Game provide a whole-of-site licence for the day). Adults may assist but are not permitted to fish. There will be caravans on site with food and drinks for sale but please remember to bring some cash. The morning session is set aside for children 12 years and under, with one lake especially for the under-8s where each child has a short one-on-one session with an expert angler (there is sometimes a queue for this). We have some loan rods and tackle in the morning, and bait  too, so don’t worry if you don’t have gear.
