Rudolf Steiner School Spring Fair

Big Science Day

On Saturday 31st October, 2015 Science Alive! will be hosting the BIG SCIENCE DAY, an all-day Science and Technology event suitable for families and people of all ages. Science Alive! will be taking over Cathedral Square in Christchurch, with this exciting FREE event. South West Light Party

Shirley Primary School Light Party

Light Party presented by Shirley Community Trust and St Stephen’s Church, Shirley. Dress like a pirate and come and enjoy a fun evening of carnival games and magic. This carnival is aimed a primary school aged children and their families.  Gold coin donation on entry for a variety of pirate themed games including walk the plank, coconut bowling and boat races as well as sausage sizzle, candy floss, face painting, jumping castle and a magician.  Coffee and EFTPOS will be available. Tuhaitara Coastal Park Open Day

A chance to visit Tuhaitara Coastal Park, see whats been happening through displays and activities based around the beach and the lagoon. Te Kohaka o Tuhaitara Trust is restoring the Tuhaitara Coastal Park to a working native ecosystem. Banks Peninsula Walking Festival

We have curated a diverse programme of quality walking experiences, all lead by experienced volunteer guides who have a passion for the land, ecology and communities of the peninsula. Roydvale School Fair

Roydvale School Fair will be on Sunday 8th November from 11am – 3pm. There will be a live band, white elephant and other stalls, raffles, a bouncy castle and slides, face painting, food, rides and we have EFTPOS available! SCAPE 8 New Intimacies

A Public Art Walkway to help people create new memories and re-connect with the changed Christchurch landscape. SCAPE 8 New Intimacies, curated by Rob Garrett. The Christchurch Biennial will draw on the projects of both local and International artists; Antony Gormley, Pauline Rhodes, Hannah Kidd, Nathan Pohio, Fiona Jack, Peter Atkins and Judy Millar. The artists works will be accompanied by public participation project #ThatTimeYouHelped Our Portraits of People Reaching Out to One Another. These projects shape a Public Art Walkway, alongside a programme of artist talks, guided tours and public workshops throughout the six weeks of SCAPE 8 New Intimacies. SCAPE 8 Art Central Hub: Corner of Gloucester & Colombo Streets. The Public Art Walkway is mapped as a half hour walk to see the works or take as longer and enjoy the activities and atmosphere along the way.
