2014 Korean Day

Shirley Youth Jam

Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park

Internationally acclaimed recording artist Ladi6 will perform at Christchurch’s Hagley Park on Saturday 29th November while brother-sister hit duo Broods take the stage at the Auckland Domain on Saturday 13th December. They’ll be joined by Silver Scroll award winner Tami Neilson, Nyree Burt, Barry Southgate, Lavina Williams, Andrew Papas, Ria Hall, backing vocalists Anna Grahame, Paul Fagamalo and Yuli Quay and a talent packed line-up of celebrated singers, dancers and musicians. Highlights from the concert can be seen in the special 90 minute broadcast on TV3 on Sunday 14th December. Summer of Fun – Orientation Rangiora

This event aims to bring the local community and community groups together to share information on what is available Rangiora. There will be club/community group information tents, a free BBQ, bouncy castles, demonstrations, spot prizes, and light refreshments.

Fiddler on the Roof (Junior)

Burnside High School’s Junior Production this year is the ten time Tony award winning musical ‘Fiddler on the Roof Jnr’. The performance lasts for approximately one hour and we are delighted to invite you to our performances which are being held at the Aurora Centre for the Performing Arts on the Burnside High School grounds. Summer of Fun – St Albans Family Fun Day

A free event with fun for the whole family! There will be live entertainment during the afternoon, a BBQ and Slushies available. Carols in the Square

6th December // Starts at 4pm; carol sing-a-long at 6pm  // Cathedral Square

A free community picnic and carol service to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Featuring live music, free bouncy castles, free face-painting and games for the kids, food vendors, craft stalls and more from 4-6pm. Kaiapoi Carnival & Santa Parade

6th December // 9-3pm  //  Williams Street, Kaiapoi

Fun family day out.   We have a relaxed carnival with free entertainment, roving clowns, community group stalls, market stalls. The day includes the Santa Parade starting at 11 am.  This relaxed community parade guarantees everyone a good view. Also included in the day the opening of the first o 12 Christmas Boxes.  Each box contains a unique Christmas scene.  A new Box will be opened every day from the carnival until 18 December between 4pm and 6pm.   Come along and see that ones already opened and the new one revealed.   From 18 December all Christmas Boxes will be on show. Community fundraising auction at 2pm.  This auction will include items such as:  Cricket bats signed by the recent Black Caps Teams, weekend in Kaikoura including train tickets and accommodation, bus tickets to Wanaka on the Naked bus, fantastic gift items and more.

 

Frozen Charity Ball

Join Anna, Elsa and other princess friends for a spectacular bash with dancing, face painting, food, drink and lots of fun! Batman and Pirate Pete will be there for the lads too! Tickets: $35 for an adult and one child, additional adults or children $20 each. Santa Parade Christchurch 2014

7th December // 2-4pm  //  Riccarton Road

On Sunday December 7, 2014 a quarter of the region will line Riccarton Road to watch the Santa Parade proudly presented by the Christchurch Children’s Christmas Parade Trust. For 67 years the Christchurch Santa Parade has brought joy to the citizens of Christchurch and its environs. This year will be no exception! Celebrities, spectacular floats, fantasy, popular characters, clowns, animals, marching girls, thrills, music, music, music and of course Santa will feature. It has something for everyone! The parade will start at 2pm sharp from the corner of Wharenui & Riccartons Roads and ends approximately 3.30pm at the corner of Mandeville Street and Riccarton Road. Postponement date Sunday December 14!
