Mid-Year Dance Show

26th July // 6pm //  Celebration Auditorium – 81 Bickerton St, Wainoni

The Xpression Dance Studio has a Mid-Year Show, a dance event for the whole community! Happening this Saturday 26 July, 6:00pm at the Celebration Auditorium – 81 Bickerton St, Wainoni.

A 1-hour event packed full of dance, with performers aged from 3 years old, right through to our senior students – It is going to be a great event for all to see! Tickets are available now, and doorsales are also available on the night of the show. These are $5 per person, and $10 per family (2 adults + school-aged children).

Moosic n Moovement

Weekly event on Thursdays // 10-11am //  St Silas Church – 237 Main North Road, Redwood

Moosic n Moovement happens each Thursday at 10am with 35 minutes of songs, parachute, rainbow ring, puppets, scarves and instruments. A great time to enjoy with your children or grandchildren in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Morning tea to follow with room to play in the hall. Contact 352 1366. A Gold coin donation is welcome but not essential.

Polish Folk Dance Workshop

27th July // 2 – 5pm //  Cashmere Club, 50 Colombo St

Come along and learn traditional Polish folk dances from the experts… To accompany their Australasia Tour, and the only Christchurch concert the previous day (see separate event listing), Poligrodzianie will hold a 3 hour workshop for those wishing to learn Polish folk dances. As one of the greatest Polish cultural heritage ambassadors, Poligrodzianie has visited 58 countries during its over a hundred foreign tours, performing in front of Pope Jean Paul II, Mayor of New York, Presidents and Ministers of many states. The Group has given concerts on the prestigious stages of Milan and Nashville, for the prisoners in the USA, in Disneyland and in the Tibetan prairie. This is a free event, but gold coin donations are greatly appreciated and will help support the work of Polish Association in Christchuch. Linwood Playcentre Nutrition Talk

FEATURING • Janne Pasco: Community Nutrition Advisor, Community & Public Health for CDHB, will give a fun and informal talk about what healthy food actually is and how we can provide it on a budget, day to day, for our families. Morning tea provided. Community event, all ages event, children very welcome. The normal Playcentre session running so there will be plenty of activities to occupy your children.
