Thomson Skate Jam

It is with great excitement the Cheapskates Skate Skool presents the 2014 Thomson Skate Jam on Saturday 22nd March. This highly anticipated event is set to deliver some insane skateboarding to the people of Christchurch at the renowned Thomson Bowl of New Brighton. Potato Festival

St Luke’s Church, South Brighton

A Community Festival celebrating the humble, nourishing and sustainable potato with Irish music, potato-themed crafts and games, produce stalls, cooking and gardening demos and a potato trivia quiz. Christchurch Festival of Education

The inaugural New Zealand Festival of Education – a national celebration of education – is an opportunity for educators, students and their families, educational organisations and the community to come together to celebrate and share educational successes and innovations. Burwood Plunket Open Day

Earthquake repairs are nearly completed! They are holding a open day so everyone can come down and check out the revamped rooms! Let the kids have a play and they will have the BBQ cranked for you to purchase a sausage or bacon butty.


In Good Company

Te Kāhu Park on The Runway, Wigram

This is a great opportunity to get together with your family, friends and neighbours for an afternoon of free entertainment and activities at Te Kāhu Park on The Runway. Inflatable rides, face painting, performances by Olympia Gymnastics and local school groups along with demonstrations by the New Zealand Fire Service and the Christchurch City Council will keep the kids entertained . While a number of food stalls will be on site to keep hunger at bay, as will the free sausage sizzle provided by Ngāi Tahu Property


Gap Filler’s Hidden Talent Show

Summer of Fun events

A variety of activities from bouncy castles to archery, face painting to balloon animals. The Summer of Fun events are happening across Greater Christchurch throughout the summer.
