Burster Flipper Wobbler Dripper Spinner Stacker Shaker Maker

Burster Flipper Wobbler Dripper Spinner Stacker Shaker Maker — The exhibition opens to musical and colourful fanfare this Saturday,* from 10am to 3pm, with a family-friendly event featuring performances by Kitchen Collective Ensemble, School of Rock, and magician Josh Grimaldi. The young and the young- at-heart can also enjoy the Imagination Playground, art-making activities, face painting, refreshments and fun give-aways. “We’re particularly pleased to once again offer something special for children and families,” says Mr Jackson. ”We  hope they’ll be as enthralled and inspired by seeing ordinary things transformed in unexpected ways as we are.”

Burster Flipper Wobbler Dripper Spinner Stacker Shaker Maker will be at ArtBox, corner of Madras and St Asaph streets, Christchurch, from 15 February* to 28 September. Entry is free of charge. ArtBox is open 10am–5pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am–4pm, Saturday and Sunday. *In the event of rain, the opening of the exhibition will be postponed until Sunday, 16 February. Festival of Flowers

“Love Our Garden City” is the theme for our 25th Festival of Flowers, to be held in Cathedral Square in the beautiful Garden City of Christchurch. We are heralding the return to the inner city with this celebration of stunning floral installations, gardens and displays. The Festival launches on Saturday 8th Feb, 10am-2pm with a dynamic opening ceremony which will include live music and entertainment by artists from many cultures. This will a great day out for all. Summer Shakespeare

Bottle Lake Orienteering Day

16th February // Starts between 10:30am & 12:30pm. Finishes at 2:30pm

This is a FREE event where you can have a go at navigating your way through the forest on foot, mountain bike, on your own, or in a group! Start the course anytime between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm, the event finishes at 2.30 pm. There are courses for beginners and experts with advice from Peninsula and Plains Orienteering Club. All ages are welcome! Free activities include face painting, a Hellers sausage sizzle, bouncy castle and lots more! Buy a coffee to get you going, a mini donut for a treat, or a burger after all the running around! We even have Christchurch’s latest event classic: THE SMOOTHIE BIKE. The blender is attached to the pedals so you can create your own real fruit smoothie run on the power of you! Come try it out! Ingham Lazy Sundays – Ranchsliders and Special Guest Al Hunter

Ranchsliders and with special guest Al Hunter. Three members of the Tui Award winners the Coalrangers – Alan Cattermole, Geoff Farmar and John Sanchez-Lloyd teamed up with guitarist Phil Doublet to form the Ranchsliders. Settle in for a foot-tapping treat as they play with special guest Al Hunter, icon of the country music scene, aka New Zealand music’s best-kept secret at the Botanic Gardens. Festival of Fun
