Tomorrow morning is our next ChCh Mum’s get together.  Friday, 10th January // 10 am – noon // Botanic Gardens – pool & playground. Come join us! Bring kids, swimming gear, picnic morning tea or lunch. I will have a sign so that you can find us. I’ll get a spot just outside the pool fence – opposite side to the little playground.

Fruit and Berry Fest

Come and enjoy a day out in the picturesque township of Lincoln and sample an array of sweet and succulent summer fruits at Lincoln Farmers’ and Craft Market’s very popular annual Fruit and Berry Fest. Summertime Blues

The Christchurch Pop Up Concert Series & Inner City East Community Events Group are staging a free outdoor pop up concert at Beverley Park on Saturday 11th January between 5.30 – 8pm. Chemistry is Fun! – Science demonstrations

It’s time to get excited by science! A series of 30 minute interactive shows will introduce children of all ages to the principles of chemistry and examples of chemistry in action. Learn about solids, liquids and gases; heat and cold; chemical interaction and which everyday things are flammable and what happens when they burn. Live at the Point – Dr Sanchez

Dr Sanchez plays a mixture of traditional Mediterranean and South American songs, from artists such as Paco de Lucia, Armik, Ottmar Liebert and Santana, right through to original tracks that lean more toward progressive beats fused with nylon string guitar, all improvised and dynamic. Dr Sanchez embraces the sounds of Latin Guitar in both the traditional and new flamenco manner and works on many side projects with musicians from different genres. The Three Little Pigs Grow Up

Summer of Fun Teddy Bears’ Picnic – Rolleston

Come down to the Rolleston Reserve for a special afternoon that pre-schoolers can enjoy with their favourite teddy. Pascall Candy Carnival

A sweeter summer at the Candy Carnival. This summer giant Eskimos, Jet Planes and Pineapple Lumps are making their way across New Zealand. Jack, The Giant and The Jiggery Plot

Elmwood Players’ Children’s Theatre returns again in 2014 with a twist on a classic fairy tale, “Jack, the Giant and the Jiggery Plot”. In a land terrorized by a fearsome giant, the Prime Minister and the General hatch a jiggery plot to appease the giant’s appetite, and become rulers of the land at the same time. The dimwitted Jack, son of Mrs Wigglebottom (a.k.a the old  woman who lived in a shoe) becomes an unwitting accomplice in their plan to kidnap the princess and give her to the giant. I Hate Children Children’s Show
