Addington Fun Fair

St Mary’s Anglican Church, 21 Church Sq, Addington

The Addington Fun Fair is always a gorgeous day with many stalls – crafts, baking, books, bric-a-brac and more – carnival games, pony rides, a bouncy castle, races, live music, Devonshire teas and more! There will be a BBQ and ethnic foods thanks to various community groups. Any donations from stall holders on the day will go towards St Mary’s Church to aid the purchase of games and sporting equipment for the local community to use.The ever-popular free live concert will come courtesy of Addington Primary, the Sunshine Band, Mustard, Warlords of Atlantis and the Billie Jean Project. It promises to be a lovely day, so please bring your family and friends.


Multicultural Evening

Middleton Grange School, 50 Aracia Avenue, Middleton

Objectives: To enjoy fellowship among members of diverse ethnic and other communities for their networking and wellbeing. To showcase diverse cultures through music and dance performances. Programme: Cultural performances, Food, Raffle and Fellowship
Entry: Gold Coin donation. You are welcome to bring a plate of food and wear your ethnic costumes.


Plant & Quality Pre-loved Clothing Sale

Christmas in the Park

The popular free musical event will be co-hosted by MORE FM’s Simon Barnett and Gary McCormick at Christchurch’s Hagley Park on Saturday 30th November. Show Producer Jade Turrall says, “We have a record number of artists in this year’s show – some we discovered through our auditions, some are returning favourites, and some are recent TV stars. They’re set to deliver a magical, multi-cultural mix of world class entertainment, enhanced by a laser light show and topped off by a spectacular fireworks finale!” Highlights from the concerts can be seen in the special 90 minute broadcast on TV3. Community Bootmarket & Thorrington School Kids’ Market

Spend some quality time browsing and mingling in the community at our third annual Community Bootmarket. Thorrington School kids will also be manning their own stalls. Stock up for Christmas while your kids play on our amazing new climbing frame. Also on site will be live music from the Thorrington School of Rock and The Mule, a coffee cart, a Hellers sausage sizzle and much much more! A great community day, not to be missed!


Shirley Skate Jam

Join the Cheapskates Skate Skool and Learn to Skate this Sumner! The Shirley Skate Jam is a family friendly event with free gear hire available for beginners plus free help from the Skate Skool Team. Christmas Concert from the Court Theatre and Christ’s College Chapel Choir

The Court Theatre and Christ’s College Choir are teaming up for a lighthearted celebration of Christmas on December 1st at 2.30pm in Christ’s College chapel. Court Theatre actors will entertain with lively Christmas readings and the Christ’s College Choir will sing carols and perform an exuberant selection of seasonal music. The ticket price includes complimentary champagne and Christmas cake.  This show is about keeping the merry in Christmas.
