Keeping NZ On The Move

26th October // 10am – 4pm
Lyttleton Port of Christchurch, Norwich Quay

A powerful KiwiRail engine is pulling new scenic carriages and four themed containers, each packed with fascinating displays about rail in New Zealand. Stopping at the Port of Lyttelton, there will be family fun, prizes and giveaways. Entry is free and everyone is welcome, so don’t miss Keeping NZ On the Move. FESTA – Nature Play Park

Meet the bugs! Join the DOC rangers for free play in nature. Hunt for critters, meet some live weta and bugs, have a go at the arts and crafts table and enter the ‘design a bug’ competition. FESTA – Sound Garden

728 Colombo Street

Join Gap Filler to celebrate the activation of their Sound Garden project. Sound Garden is a variety of bespoke ‘musical’ instruments installed within the garden space at 728 Colombo Street made by Greening the Rubble earlier this year. All the instruments have been created by local artist-musicians and will remain on site over the summer. Come along and play! Check website for more info.


Orton Bradley Park Spring Fair

Orton Bradley Park, Charteris Bay

A fantastic day out for the whole family – just 30 minutes drive from Christchurch. Lovely Labour Day Market

Come along and celebrate your Labour Day in the wonderful markets of Riccarton House and Bush. The best from the Christchurch Farmers Market will be combining with the great stalls from the Sunday Artisan Market! World Vision Kids for Kids

Heathcote Valley School Twilight Halloween Gala

Once again this year there will be a Halloween theme – come along in costume! There will be competitions for the kids, spooky poems, kids cupcake decorating and plenty more. Spring River Festival

The 2013 Spring River Festival will showcase the vitality and potential of the east as “Ōtakaro: place of the game”. The programe will focus on two key events, the River Regatta and the Community Concert. The festival will also have a range of other events which will connect up the many areas of the east. Cotswold School Market Day
