Christchurch Farmers Market – 8th Birthday Party! Have your very own Kid’s food stall! Children have the opportunity to bake or produce their very own unique local product and have the chance to sell to earn some pocket money! Be creative and have fun! Stalls are only $10! And you get to have a stall amongst the usual busy Christchurch Farmers Market. The Market starts at 9am but we ask the stall holders to be there an hour before to set up there stall and make it look fabulous! Kiwiana Spring Festival

19th October // 11am – 4pm
Pallet Pavilion, Corner Durham Streets & Kilmore Streets

Kiwiana Spring Festival is here to bring you Handicraft made by Christchurch City Community, Kiwiana Craft is known throughout the World, fine craftsmanship gives its name the edge people remember it by. This Festival is a family Event and will have many Stalls that you can enjoy with your children. 1 Pair of Jeans Will Be Given Away Hour On the Hour Be There to Win, Special Story Telling for New Book – Mother Earth and the Quakeia Babies will be for Children of all ages 12pm. RebornThreadznThingz will be showcasing Jeanz, Jewelery, Shirts and other things that are Revived, Revamped, Recycled, Refashioned, Restyled, Reused, Remodeled. Community Fair

19th & 20th October // 9am
St Christopher’s Church, 244 Avonhead Rd

Entertainment & bargains for the whole family including:  plants, books, sweets, vintage items, cakes, craft, fruit and vege, toys, white elephant, china, linen, games, music & more! The St Marks School Fair

19th October // 10am – 3pm

Presenting the famous St Marks School Fair,  a very special Community Event! Carnivale atmosphere for kids! Giant flowers. Awesome games – shoot aliens, race snails, smash jaffas! Keeping NZ On The Move

26th October // 10am – 4pm
Lyttleton Port of Christchurch, Norwich Quay

A powerful KiwiRail engine is pulling new scenic carriages and four themed containers, each packed with fascinating displays about rail in New Zealand. Stopping at the Port of Lyttelton, there will be family fun, prizes and giveaways. Entry is free and everyone is welcome, so don’t miss Keeping NZ On the Move. FESTA – Nature Play Park

26th October // 10am – 1pm

Meet the bugs! Join the DOC rangers for free play in nature. Hunt for critters, meet some live weta and bugs, have a go at the arts and crafts table and enter the ‘design a bug’ competition. FESTA – Sound Garden

26th October // 2-3pm
728 Colombo Street

Join Gap Filler to celebrate the activation of their Sound Garden project. Sound Garden is a variety of bespoke ‘musical’ instruments installed within the garden space at 728 Colombo Street made by Greening the Rubble earlier this year. All the instruments have been created by local artist-musicians and will remain on site over the summer. Come along and play! Check website for more info.


Orton Bradley Park Spring Fair

A fantastic day out for the whole family – just 30 minutes drive from Christchurch.
